Scutts Wood Block Arrow Plate Antique Barbed WireAn authentic strand of barb wire patented in 1880 by hirum b. Scutt of joliet illinois (see picture). This strand has 2 standard scutt arrow plate barbs from his earlier 1878 patent, 1 on one end and a second located at the center of the strand. This patent adds wood blocks, originally painted red ot be highly visible to stock. The wire and barbs are original. The wood blocks look good but appear to have have been replaced.
